Healthy Families New York Prevent Child Abuse New York provides training and advocacy services for Healthy Families New York (HFNY), a voluntary home visiting program for high-risk families of infants. In 1993, Prevent Child Abuse New York spearheaded the establishment of the Healthy Families New York program. We continue to work to assure the program becomes available to families throughout the state. Healthy Families New York is a comprehensive, voluntary home visiting service that supports healthy child development and parenting practices and prevents child abuse. Services begin during the prenatal period or shortly after birth and continue until a child is 3 to 5 years old. Prevent Child Abuse New York’s HFNY Training and Staff Development Team provides staff training, quality assurance assistance and resources for all HFNY sites in the state. We work with the HFNY Home Visiting Council to plan more stable, diversified and expansive funding for HFNY to enable growth of the program to all eligible parents in the state. HFNY is a proven program! Read more:
