Individuals, families, businesses and organizations will step up to prevent child abuse on October 22, by taking part in the 2011 Walk for Children, Rochester.

Join us for an event for the whole family to support safe and happy childhoods for all of New York's children. The walk is a rain or shine event.

You can walk individually or you can organize a team of family, friends, or co-workers.

Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps to fund child abuse prevention programs!

How do you participate in the 2011 Walk for Children, Rochester?

  1. Register. If you prefer not to register online, call 1-800-CHILDREN.
  2. Get sponsors. A great first step in getting sponsors is to create your own personal fundraising page. Our Walker Fundraising Handbook includes many terrific fundraising ideas. Please contact the walk organizers if you would like some collection envelopes for your sponsorship money.
  3. Walk! Check in at Highland Park at 11 a.m. on October 22. The walk will begin shortly after, rain or shine.
