2014 5K Run/Walk for Children, Rockland County!
2013 Race Results
Individuals, families, businesses and organizations will step up to prevent child abuse on July 26th, by taking part in the 2014 Run/Walk for Children, Rockland County, an event designed to honor kids! This event will feature a 5K Run, 5K Walk as well as a Fun Run for Children. Prizes will be given to the top runners in each age category, to the top 3 walkers and to the participant that collects the most donations. Food and refreshments will be provided.
A special thanks to: The Village of Airmont, The Ramapo Police Department, The Ramapo Central School District and the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp for all their hard work and support of support of this event.

Check in: 8 a.m., 5K Run Race kicks off at 9 a.m., 5K walk kicks off at 9:05 a.m. and Fun Run for Children will follow the Run/Walk Race. (approx 10 a.m.)
The Walk/Run will start and finish at Cherry Lane Elementary School

Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps to fund child abuse prevention programs! A portion of the funds raised will be donated to a Rockland County children's charity.
Register for the 5k Run/Walk for Children, Rockland County
How do you participate in the 2014 5k Run/Walk for Children, Rockland County?
1. Register. Entry fee is $20 for participants ages 13 and older. Online registration closes July 24, 2014. Race day registrations will be accepted but particpants will be charged $25.
Children ages 5-12 are $5 which you pay on the day of the race but we ask that you please provide any children's names and ages on your registration form. If you have children who are participating but you are not, please email the walk organizer and provide the childrens names and ages.
Children ages 0-4 are free, but again please email the walk organizer with th name and ages of the children participating to ensure a t-shirt will be avaliable for them.
Participants pre-registered by July 1st are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Race day registration available.
2. Get sponsors. A great first step in getting sponsors is to create your own personal fundraising page. Our Walker Fundraising Handbook includes many terrific fundraising ideas. Please contact the walk organizers if you would like some collection envelopes for your sponsorship money.
3. Run! or Walk! Check in at the Cherry Lane Elementary School at 8 a.m. on July 26th. The run will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9:05 a.m. rain or shine.
