Child Abuse Prevention Resources

Child abuse and neglect has short- and long-term impact on both the individual and the community-at-large. PCANY aims to provide New York's families, professionals, advocates, policy makers and concerned citizens with the latest resources to prevent child abuse and give every kid a healthy, successful future.

• The Prevention & Parent Helpline, in English and Spanish, at 800-CHILDREN (244-5373), an information and referral line focused on parenting and family issues.
• The annual New York State Child Abuse Prevention Conference
• Information about recognizing child abuse, reporting child abuse, child abuse statistics and fact sheets, and a Mandated Reporter's Guide (pdf).
