Clerical/Admin Support: We are a source of information about child abuse and neglect for people throughout the state. We work with a statewide network of member individuals and organizations. Office assistance is always needed.

Parent Helpline: The Parent Helpine provides information and referrals to parents, professionals and others who are concerned about preventing child abuse. The Helpline is toll free and can be reached from anywhere in New York State.

Legislative advocacy: Prevent Child Abuse New York hosts an annual legislative advocacy conference at the Capitol in Albany. At the conference, advocates meet with legislators to emphasize the importance of programs and policies that support families and prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevent Child Abuse New York also e-mails advocacy action alerts to advocates throughout New York State.

Public awareness: Prevent Child Abuse New York educates the state's citizens through special events such as informational exhibits and workshops.

Fundraising: Prevent Child Abuse New York's programs and services depend on private contributions from individuals, associations, and corporations, as well as government and foundation grants. Volunteers plan and execute events, solicit donors, and research grant opportunities. |
