Position Announcement: Training and Staff Development Specialist (Healthy Families New York)

 

Prevent Child Abuse New York is currently seeking a Training and Staff Development Specialist. This position provides training and quality assurance/technical assistance to Healthy Families New York (HFNY) home visiting programs throughout the state. Additional duties:

 

·       Become certified and facilitate Healthy Families America core training and HFNY training to HFNY staff statewide

·       Provide on-site quality assurance and site support

·       Assist with curriculum development (including web-based design and development)

·       Establish and maintain relationships with assigned HFNY sites and partners

 

Candidates will be required to show that they have experience with the Healthy Families America Home Visiting model and have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Human Service related field. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, writing, and training skill sets. Fluency in Spanish, and experience in perinatal health and child development, infant and/or adult mental health are preferred. The position is full time, exempt. Multi-day statewide travel required.  With a large population of HFNY program staff being located in and around New York City, preference will be given to qualified candidates residing in the New York metropolitan area.

Position Announcement: Program Coordinator

 

Prevent Child Abuse New York is currently seeking a Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing prevention initiatives with a primary focus on ensuring effective operational flow of projects.

 

* Build connections between staff and community professionals

* Coordinate program activities in cooperation with various professional groups

* Support local community efforts to create sustainable prevention projects

* Provide reports and presentation to partner groups.

 

Preferred candidates will bring a bachelors degree in a related field and experience in a human service setting. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership skills. The position is full time, exempt, and will be located in Troy, NY. Statewide overnight and multi-day travel is required. This position is open until filled.
